Description
Holly Splendor Series is a great entry level vintage Japanese stratocaster.
Holly guitars were made in Japan by the Kiso Suzuki Violin Company and this one seems to be late 1970s.
It’s a solid body (not ply/composite) and is a nice solid feeling guitar.
The 24.5in scale and xxkg weight make it a great entry into the vintage Japanese market.
I have leveled and crowned the frets + serviced. Plays smoothly and has nice classic blues and strat tones.
Ah, there is a trem block (paddle pop stick) in the pic of the rear. This was just there for the string and set up – please ignore.
The finish is in great condition for its age. No major chips or dings. The bottom was drilled twice by the previous owner (strap button holes). I have filled with dowel, shaved down and covered in black. The finish over the repair isn’t perfect, as pictured. All that would be required is a sanding, but this will be covered by a strap anyway…
